Is Nord VPN Safer than the rest?

In today's world of endless cat videos, online shopping, and binge-watching Netflix, our PCs have become our trusty sidekicks. But with great power comes great responsibility – especially when it comes to online security.

In this insight, I will give you as much information as I can to answer the question - How safe is Nord VPN? and what features does it have to make it safe?

.

1. Nord VPN have a strict no logs policy

Imagine your VPN provider as a person you share all of your secrets with – would you want them to keep a record of them? Of course not! Nord VPN has a strict no-logs policy, which means they don't track or store your online activities. Other VPNs might not be as trustworthy, logging your data and potentially sharing it with third parties. That's a big red flag! If the idea is to keep everything private, it is kind of contradictory not to have a no logs policy.

2. Military-Grade Encryption:

If you were sending a confidential letter via your PC, and you didn't want anyone intercepting it.

Nord VPN uses military-grade encryption, making it nearly impossible for cyber-criminals to snoop around and get their hands on them. They have the gold standard of encryption compared to other providers. They use WireGuard-based NordLynx for hefty encryption and high performance. They also have a kill switch, and DNS leak protection which keeps all of your personal details and identity out of reach.

3. Speedy:

I get extremely frustrated with a slow internet connection. Nord VPN is known for its impressive speed, which means you can binge-watch your favourite shows without buffering or losing your mind waiting for websites to load. Some VPNs slow down your connection, making you feel like you're stuck in the past with dial-up internet. I have to say, when I tried different servers all over the world, the reduction in speed was minimal, even when I tried from Japan.

5. Kill Switch:

Ever heard of the "kill switch" feature? It's like a panic button for your VPN. If your VPN connection suddenly drops, Nord VPN's kill switch will automatically disconnect your PC from the internet, protecting your data from prying eyes. Unlike other virtual private network providers they have two kill switches. The first is a standard kill switch, but the other allows you to select apps you would like to disconnect if the strength drops.

When it comes to choosing a VPN for PC, security is my main priority. Nord VPN stands out as a trustworthy choice with its no-logs policy, robust encryption, speedy performance, and handy features like the kill switch. It's like having a top-notch security for your online activities in my opinion.

So, is Nord VPN really safer than the rest? From my experiences it sure seems like it! I don't take unnecessary risks with my online security and I have been with them for over three years now without any problems.
